Individual Therapy

Moving Through Challenges.

Many adults find themselves struggling in unexpected ways as they journey through the many stages of adulthood.  You might be struggling to find connection with others, or are not as successful as you pictured being at this stage in your life.  Having unmet expectations might cause you to feel depressed, disillusioned, and lost.  By reflecting on how you got here, new goals can be discovered and new realities achieved.

Navigating the Challenges of Parenthood and Reproductive Health

The journey to parenthood is often not a straightforward path. Whether you're facing reproductive challenges, coping with loss, or navigating the highs and lows of parenting, these experiences can stir up a wide range of emotions—joy, confusion, grief, frustration, and even isolation.

I work with individuals and couples who are walking through the complexities of infertility, pregnancy loss, and other reproductive issues. It can feel disorienting, even heartbreaking, when your dreams of parenthood don't unfold as you expected. Having a safe, supportive space to process your feelings and explore next steps can help you move through these challenges with more clarity and resilience.

For those already in the midst of parenting, the emotional weight of raising children can sometimes feel overwhelming. Parenting is often more demanding and less intuitive than we expect, and it’s normal to seek support when you feel exhausted, lost, or unsure. Whether you're struggling with balancing your needs with your child’s, or searching for ways to bring more confidence and joy into your parenting, therapy can provide tools and insights to help you reconnect with your strengths and values.

Through a compassionate, client-centered approach, we can work together to navigate these transitions, build resilience, and help you move forward with a deeper sense of peace and empowerment.

EMDR

Healing old wounds.

I am certified in EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) and may suggest this treatment if I assess it could be useful for you. EMDR is based on the theory that painful or disturbing experiences can cause people to become “stuck” in ways of thinking or reacting to things in their life.  Difficult experiences can cause people to adopt negative beliefs or ideas about themselves without them realizing this.  EMDR utilizes neuropsychological based evidence that believes the mind and body are connected.  By engaging in EMDR, a person will come to gain insights around belief systems or feelings they are holding onto that are no longer true or relevant which helps them to free themselves and become “unstuck.”
